Cruise Port Rotterdam needed new offices for the harbour master, where processing and passenger logistics for cruise activities are managed. The H.A.L. (Holland America Line) building where the new office was to be located is a national monument and as such the original building could not be touched.
The 30 m2 proposal of mobile office is inspired by shipbuilding. It comprises three separate steel elements: office (left), pantry and entrance (middle) and boardroom (right). The striking wheels and detachable connections ensure flexibility to relocate and repurpose.
